Baythar
So I finally got a VM with GPU passthrough working so that I can run game bots without needing to leave my mine desktop on all the time. My plan was to remote into the VM to control it. After testing it is much smoother than I thought it would be and would be 100% playable except for the issue that any game that requires mouse control is uncontrollable because it will just spin around like crazy with any mouse movement. So is there anyone here that has found a way to solve this issue by like locking the mouse to the remote windows or something? I did a lot of research and the only thing I found was teamviewer might be able to do it but I am guessing that it would not be near the quality needed based on my past use. Quote Link to comment
zeus83
Hi, If you're on Nvidia gpu then try Moonlight - open source Nvidia game stream client. There are no issues with controls at all. Amongst everything I tried it gives the best experience in remote gaming. As a second option you may give a try to Steam Remote Play. For met it doesn't work that well, but still better then any of Teamviewer, Splashtop, RDP and etc. The third option is Google Remote Desktop. It's better use as remote desktop, but games are still possible with it as well. Edited February 13, 2020 by zeus83 Quote Link to comment
dodgypast
Parsec is another option Quote Link to comment
jang430
How many steps to get Parsec gaming working? Serverbuilds.net gave a lot of pointers to get the most performance out of your VM- https://forums.serverbuilds.net/t/guide-remote-gaming-on-unraid/4248/8 @dodgypast, did you do a lot of these cpu pinning, passthrough bios to get good performance? PeteAsking
The only way I see people doing this and it working is by using parsec but you only get 60fps stable I believe, which is a problem for high fps games eg: pubg. Edited June 16, 2020 by PeteAsking Quote Link to comment

I haven't used parsec, just know a few people who recommend it. Quote Link to comment
jang430
I want to achieve this to work with League of Legends, but I hope it can reach 80-100 fps stable. Quote Link to comment

I normally play using Dualshock 4. No delays at all. As for mouse I didn't play with it but overall I don't like how mouse behaves at desktop with Moonlight. If I use some programes that require mouse I'm using Google remote desktop. Zero mouse issues there. Quote Link to comment
jang430
Are you saying mouse may experience lag, but when using Dualshock 4, it's responsive? Quote Link to comment
