Ryzen - Machine Check Events error

Featured Replies

Hi all, part way through my Unraid trial. Love it so far.

I recently installed Fix Common Problems and am now getting the "Machine Check Events" error. I use a 1800X so from googling it appears mcelog doesn't work. I never got the error the first week using Unraid and a power outage caused the machine to turn off. I noticed the error the following day. I'm not sure if it's related. I use a quality surge board.

I thought the C states issue was fixed, if not should I disable them just in case? The CPU and GPU was used from an old build but I'm using brand new motherboard and memory.

Any help would be appreciated!

Go to your bios.. look for power supply idle. You will want to set it to "normal idle power". See what happens

Cheers, I've done 4 things:

Disabled C-states in BIOS

Changed idle power setting

Set RAM to 2400.

Memtest (no issues)

Error is gone.

Will see how it goes. Thanks!
