Jobine Posted February 18, 2020 Share Posted February 18, 2020 Hi, I have an Unraid Plus license and Asus Strix Z270E motherboard with an M.2_1 cache drive (512GB), 1 parity disk (4TB) and 5 other hard drives (4TB). I use all the SATA ports on my motherboard. How can I add a PCI-E card to add more sata ports? Which one do you suggest? This one ? Would it be better to change my party disc for a new 8TB and after my other 4TB drives ? Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB Posted February 18, 2020 Share Posted February 18, 2020 That one has a port multiplier and it's not recommended, if 4 ports are enough get a 4/5 port controller based on the JMB585 chipset, or get one of the recommended 8 port LSI controllers. Quote Link to comment
