I completed the preclear for one of the drives following the instructions from the SpaceInvader One video titled "How and why to PreClear your hard drives before adding to your array". Once the preclear was complete, I shut down the array, and restarted it with the new precleared 8TB drive in the parity slot. The system started up again and began a parity rebuild. It said it would take 27 days (see attached screenshot "rebuild.png"), and that seemed like a lot, but I wasn't sure so I asked on reddit. I was advised that my transfer rate was incredibly slow. I then checked the array speed (see attached screenshot "array3.png") and all of them seemed slow. I shut down. Opened up the case and made sure all cables were secure and nothing was apparently wrong. Where do I start troubleshooting this? Thanks. EDIT: And I just tried to check two of my dockers and I'm getting an error "Execution error - Image can not be deleted, in use by other container(s)" tower-diagnostics-20200218-1854.zip Edited February 19, 20206 yr by Netbug Updated hardware

February 19, 20206 yr Author So we ended up pulling a drive (seagate 3TB) that was throwing a tonne of errors. We then replaced that drive with the old parity and the parity with a new WD RED 8TB. So, since I did it in the wrong order, I lost all the data on the 3TB drive, but I'll survive. Write speed has improved and the rebuild should take just under a day now instead of 40.

February 19, 20206 yr Author That's a good idea. I'm downloading a bunch now, but I'll likely pop it in later to see. Thanks.
