December 11, 201015 yr Hallo everyone, For some time, I have been thinking why do I get a lot of thees 'spindown 2' in the syslog right after each other. There is only one drive in this 'spin down group'. I can physically hear the drive keeps spinning up and down, up and down... until it at one point keep spun down. The drive is a WDC_WD2500YS. I have other WD drives that do not do this. I'm running unRAID v4.6. I can not say with what version this issue started, but my guess is it has been introducer with the v4.5. December 13, 201015 yr Author What are you doing on your array at this time? Are you doing file copies on other drives, accessing the GUI, running unmenu? Sorry for the late reply. This happens after I have been using the drive in question. I have set all my drives to spin down after 45 min. It is only after this amount of time, when the drive starts to spin down, that this one drive goes nuts and keeps spinning down and up for X number of times before at stays spun down. BR Søren
