Rootfs is 100% full, docker image at 91%, unable to write to docker image

Featured Replies

Hi-

So I've been getting notifications in UNRAID telling me that my Docker image file is getting full (currently 91 % used), Rootfs file is getting full (currently 100 % used), and Unable to write to Docker Image. These all show up when I run the fix common problems app. I tried to download the diagnostic file, but when I click on download, the page goes blank, and the lower left hand corer toggles between array started and array undefined. If I stop the array and restart it, the array appears to come back online, but when I go to the docker tab, it says that the docker image failed to start?

Error message from main page, array devices tab: (no information on page)

Warning: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting TC_DOLLAR_CURLY or TC_QUOTED_STRING or '"' in state/disks.ini on line 274 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DeviceList.php on line 20

Error message from main page, array operation tab: (page generates, stop array button works)

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DefaultPageLayout.php(501) : eval()'d code on line 18

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Thanks. I tried to reboot the tower, and the system came back online. Array started, but in the process of parity check. Diagnostic file attached...thanks for the command to do that, as well as the location of the file.

Thank you :)

I was hoping that you'd do the diagnostics command before rebooting.  Wait for the log to start filling up again, then post a new set of diagnostics

not sure if I should have waited longer or not....new logs attached.

(web interface became non-responsive, so I hit the big power switch about a half an hour ago (17:15)...didn't think I could get a terminal window opened)

reason for unscheduled reboot

Nothing particularly changed on the usage of the log.

Okay. I'll wait an hour (or two?) and post a new log. Array is up and running. I can access shares. Docker has same error (failed to start). I have terminal access.

Thanks.

I missed that being mentioned.  Try this

Settings - Docker - Disable the service.  Delete the image, re-enable the service

Apps, Previous Apps, Check off what you want

okay...so set enable docker to no...if I delete the image, am I going to have to set up all of the dockers again? I had a few customizations for plex, etc.? While I have docker enable set to no...should I consider increasing the size from 20GB default?

the appdata will be safe and the templates will be already filled out and reinstalled the same way.

Okay....all docker apps installed....system is telling me I'm at 76% usage.

not sure how to tell....if I go to terminal, looking at size of docker.img file...21474836480, which I'm guessing is around 21.4 GB.

One problem fixed.  Now wait and see what happens

Okay. So it looks like deleting the docker image and re-creating it fixed part of the problem...so I'll have to wait and see about the other two.

Attaching log file for now. I'll revisit this thread sometime on Friday to post results.

Thanks again for your help.

Docker image at 76% according to the dashboard. Things seem to be back to normal...more or less. Attached latest diagnostic file for review.

So basically, nothing's changed.  It was probably docker spamming up the log  once whatever happened with the image took place.  Personally though, I'd increase the image size to 25 or 30G just for some extra breathing room.

Okay. I'll increase the size of the image to 30GB for now. Thanks again for your help.

I was having a similar problem and I followed the instructions to delete the docker image. The dockers are deleted, app data is there, but when I try to re-install the dockers the templates are not the same as I had them. Anything im doing wrong?

Are you using the Previous Apps feature on the Apps page?

Also, you should post your diagnostics so we can see if we can help figure out how you got into this situation to begin with.

Awe, thanks for that. Never had to do that before. What about a docker that I tried to install without the previous apps selected? The one I tried has the standard template? Is there a way to restore it?
