Unraid unable to recover file transfer if connection briefly lost

Featured Replies

We've got a weird situation in my house where if we turn on or off our 42" LCD TV it will knock out any file transfer over our wireless to the unraid machine.  The transfer will not auto-resume, instead it will hang indefinitely until canceled.  If I'm moving 30 GB of data, it could hang on 29 out of 30 GB and I have to restart the transfer manually and overwrite it all again since I don't know what could be corrupt or what didn't transfer.

Here's some background info:  Our unraid server is connected directly to the router and our other computers (Vista PC, Windows 7 PC, and a Macbook) connect to it via wireless and all show the same symptom.  Turning on and off the TV seems to have no effect on anything but the unraid box.  The TV and unraid server are both on separate circuits and are both on their own battery backup systems so I don't think it's power related.

Getting rid of the TV is not an option.  Any other ideas / suggestions?  System log attached.

What program are you using for the transfer?  That is what you probably need to change.  There are many that can pick up after an interruption.  There are some that only transfer the "differences" so you do not need to start again from the beginning.
