Can someone help me, syslog in att.

syslog.txt

i cannot help you with the syslog but 2 thinks come to mind:

1) try and revert back to your previous version (although i dont think that's the problem, it's worth trying it)

2) maybe just by coincidence you got a cable that moved. reseat your cables and check the smart status of the hd in question

Think this is your problem...

Not 100% certain, but that looks like it's /dev/sda.  As mentioned, power off, reseat that cable, and then power back on.

I am doing now a pre-clear of that disk, all cables are checked and good.

Pre-cleared the disk but still red ball

smartctl -a -d ata /dev/sdd

smartctl 5.39.1 2010-01-28 r3054 [i486-slackware-linux-gnu] (local build)

Copyright © 2002-10 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net

Smartctl: Device Read Identity Failed (not an ATA/ATAPI device)

A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or more '-T permissive' options.

I added a new syslog

what can I do, replace this disk ?

A disk with a "red" indicator is one where a "write" to it failed at some point.  Once it is marked as "red" it will not get back into service even if you correct the cable that might have been loose UNTIL you get unRAID to forget the model/serial number of it and have it use the "red" disk as its own replacement.

To have it forget the model/serial number of the drive

Stop the array

Un-assign the drive with the red indicator

Start the array with it un-assigned (this is where it forgets the model/serial number of the drive)

Stop the array once more

Re-assign the drive to its original slot  (here is where it thinks it is a replacement for itself)

Start the array.  (here is where it will re-construct the drive's contents onto itself, including the files and contents that originally failed to "write")

I allready done this procedure, and it is the same result, red ball.

Then...

You either have

A bad disk

or

A bad disk controller port

or

A bad/loose cable to that disk

or

A power supply marginally able to power that disk.

You can try a different cable or a different port on the disk controller but in the end, it might take a different disk.
