VMs turned read only

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm still fairly new to Unraid. I have set up the storage element - all fine, set up a number of docker containers - all fine, then set up a few virtual machines.

The virtual machines worked fine for about a week, then suddenly started failing. The windows machine would only start in recovery mode, the Ubuntu machine stated it was a read only file system. I cannot seem to add any new vm's as they refuse to boot.

I've moved the VM's off the cache drives, formatted as xfs, back to btrfs, still no help. I have replaced the sata cables to both the Cache drives too. These were known good working drives before I added them to Unraid so I don't believe both failed now.

Basically I'm out of ideas.

Thanks,

Craig

Attach the zip file to your next post in this thread. Linking to third party download sites for your diagnostics zip isn't acceptable here.

I've tried a few more times, it's still not working the way it should, so I've decided to start over again. I'll see if that helps.
