March 4, 20206 yr Hi all, I would really like a guide on how to setup an xpenology VM for Unraid 6.8.2, I tried using the steps from https://forums.unraid.net/topic/71316-xpenology-vm-any-one-running-this/ and from https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/24168-dsm-621-on-unraid-vm/?tab=comments#comment-129798. I was partially successful with the synoboot-ds918_1.04b loader and the DSM_DS918+_23824_(6.2.1).pat but with network adapter e1000 set to bridge I only got a 169.254.* IP address on my VM and I was basically unable to get this to work. I have updated the MAC to my Unraid host MAC & SN is the one already present in the synoboot.img If anyone can share their loader/pat combination and some VM settings I would really appreciate it. I am almost ready to decomission my Synology box but there are some apps which are very integrated in my workflow, would be great to finally get this working on my Unraid server. Any help is much appreciated.
March 4, 20206 yr I would also be very interested in this, if anyone has it working. I spent a good amount of time trying to get this working a bit ago and ran into similar issues.
April 11, 20206 yr OK, 3days testing... and now i got a DS3617 with DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 6 on Unraid 6.8.2. my HW: Unraid system: Unraid server Basic, version 6.8.3 Model: RX100 S7 Motherboard: FUJITSU - D3034-B1 Processor: Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1220 V2 @ 3.10GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled what are your results?
