After my Synology NAS failed/started re-install looping barely month after warranty was out, i've decided to try something different for NAS storage.

I have a full-ATX Lian-Li case that is currently my light gaming rig/EMBY server and has support for 8 hot swappable 3.5 HDDs (have 5x4tb WD Reds). I'm looking to update some of the components - CPU, Mobo and RAM (GPU is a NVidia GTX 1060) and turn it into a All-in-one Unraid rig to store all my media, run EMBY (with HW transcoding) on it and also Win10 for games/office applications. Is it doable? What kind of CPU, Mobo and RAM combo is best suited for it? My budget for component upgrade is around 1000 euros.
