Hello, I've got two instances of the phpbb docker containers running and both seem to have the same issue.  I get a 500 error when trying to load the websites.  Any ideas on what's going on would be helpful.

Hello, have some issues with your Dashy Docker package.

I recently had Dashy installed as a Docker container and all was well. I messed with it for a couple of days until it was all dorked up. I then decided to start over and remove it and the re-install it. Now, every time I try to install it, I get this error:

docker: Error response from daemon: failed to create shim: OCI runtime create failed: container_linux.go:380: starting container process caused: process_linux.go:545: container init caused: rootfs_linux.go:75: mounting "/mnt/user/appdata/dashy/conf.yml" to rootfs at "/app/public/conf.yml" caused: mount through procfd: not a directory: unknown: Are you trying to mount a directory onto a file (or vice-versa)? Check if the specified host path exists and is the expected type.

I have tried uninstalling Dashy from APPS, open the GUI file manager and deleted user/apppdata/dashy, and I even installed Appdate Cleanup and ran it (it found some leftover Dashy data and deleted it). However, I still get the error when I try to re-install Dashy, I still get the error.

I have tried every Google hit I got on this topic to no avail. Can some one please point me in the right direction to fix this?

chown -R 2000:2000 /mnt/cache/appdata/mattermost

Assuming that is your appdata folder.  If not just replace the path with the root mattermost appdata folder.

Hey hey,

I've been using UnRAID for a while but haven't really stuffed around with docker perms before. Installed Filestash out of the box and get this error when trying to set an admin password. Any ideas?

Filestash needs to be able to create/edit its own configuration which it can't at the moment. Change the permission for filestash to create and edit `/app/data/state/config/config.json`

Hello,

Regarding Kiwix-Serve

Does anyone know of a way or process I could use to add a cron expression for redownloading an updated wiki dump?

As it is right now by design, the docker redownloads the file every time it is restarted. I know I can disable this by removing the download link or download parameter but I would much rather somehow automate it to download, say, once a month. Any ideas?

About the vikunja-api container.

I have followed the advice others have given here, and successfully have it finding the config file. But when it run I get an annoying error:

2022/08/12 23:22:14 Using config file: /etc/vikunja/config.yml
usermod: no changes
2022-08-12T23:15:16.690509176+02:00: CRITICAL ▶ migration/Migrate 002 Migration failed: dial tcp 192.168.0.105:3306: connect: connection refused

This is a known bug in the documentation, but the steps to fix it are "the db wasn't ready yet, just run it again". But this does nothing.

I thought the db was included as part of the api container. Do I need my own one?

Edit: I had a mismatch in the docker config for the db type vs the config file the application needs to run. Changing them both to "sqlite" fixed it. Also the db host to "db", but I don't know if that made a difference or not. It's running now, either way!

Template is setup wrong.  You will need to edit the paths like the screenshot below.  Delete the first one that is pointing to /mattermost-push-proxy and change the 2 others.

Hi there, I've posted this on the SearXNG forum, but this one seems more active and I suspect the solution is similar.

I'm trying to setup SearXNG. I have it working locally. However am struggling to get it working via my reverse proxy. I've created the following NGNIX/SWAG config file and created a CNAME record in Cloudflare however it won't work remotely. any ideas what I'm missing?

Here is the conf file contents:

server {
    listen 443 ssl;
    server_name search.yourdomain.com;
    include /config/nginx/ssl.conf;
    client_max_body_size 0;

    location / {
        include /config/nginx/proxy.conf;
        include /config/nginx/resolver.conf;
        set $upstream_app searxng;
        set $upstream_port 8080;
        set $upstream_proto http;
        proxy_pass $upstream_proto://$upstream_app:$upstream_port;
    }
}

I've obviously changed the domain name and port to what I've set in the container/cloudflare.

When I try and access it via URL, I get the following message in the browser.

502 Bad Gateway

Thanks

Hi. I'm working with the phpBB container from your repo and am hitting two snags that I can't seem to clear despite research and Google-learning.

1) During the install, everything seems to work fine and I'm able to get it running and open the web_ui however the container switches to a stopped-state after a short period of time and the logs indicate:

phpbb 14:23:12.70 INFO  ==> ** Starting phpBB setup **

I've been searching and see some search result regarding bitnami and permissions but I have no idea how to apply that information unRAID and this container.

2) For the short time that it is running before (Item 1) stops the container, I am able to log in using the credentials I entered when installing the container however I get the message about deleting the install directory. I have opened a terminal into the container and I've been able to find (find / -type d -name *install*) a couple of install directories but when I delete one of them, I typically break the container. Here are the results of executing a find command from within the container console:

$ find / -type d -name *install*
find: '/sys/kernel/slab': Input/output error
find: '/var/cache/ldconfig': Permission denied

/opt/bitnami/phpbb/phpbb/install/module/install_finish
find: '/proc/tty/driver': Permission denied
find: '/root': Permission denied
find: '/etc/ssl/private': Permission denied

Where do I find the install directory that needs to be deleted?

Also, here are my initial configuration settings (passwords redacted):

PORT: 8083

APPDATA: /mnt/user/appdata/phpbb/

ALLOW_EMPTY_PASSWORD: No

PHPBB_DATABASE_HOST:10.0.26.15

PHPBB_DATABASE_PORT_NUMBER: 3306

PHPBB_DATABASE_USER: root

PHPBB_DATABASE_PASSWORD: ******

PHPBB_DATABASE_NAME: phpBB

PHPBB_USERNAME: phpBBadmin

PHPBB_PASSWORD: *******

PHPBB_EMAIL: *********

PHPBB_FORUM_NAME: Our Forum Platform

PHPBB_FORUM_DESCRIPTION: A forum for everyone

I would really appreciate any assistance or insight into the above two items as A) it might help get this running on my unRAID 6.10.3 box and B) it might help me learn and understand more about unRAID, Docker and the inner working thereof.

I had a power failure here, and ever since I cannot get your airsonic advanced docker to work, when I try to load it I get (with the html tags and everything):

<html><head><title>Airsonic Error</title></head><body><h2>Airsonic Error</h2><p>The directory <b>/var/airsonic</b> is not writable. Please change file permissions, then restart the servlet container.</p><p>(You can override the directory location by specifying -Dairsonic.home=... when starting the servlet container.)</p></body></html>

I tried doing a forced update to no avail. The `/var/airsonic` folder in the docker is mapped to `/mnt/user/appdata/airsonic-advanced-a75g` and I can look at the permissions, but I have no idea what they should be, nor why they would have changed due to a power failure (all my other dockers come up and work fine).

Interestingly the log file in that folder is being written to when the thing starts up, and I see no error messages being logged.

Any suggestions on how to diagnose this and get it fixed?

EDIT: Here is the directory listing from the unRAID side:

Hi,

I need help with Matomo container. I recently have some permission issues with unraid so I have launched the tools>new permissions under whole unraid.

I have updated Matomo but now is unable to start and I'm getting this errors like:

"rsync: [generator] chgrp "/bitnami/matomo/plugins/Widgetize/config/config.php" failed: Operation not permitted (1)"

I tried to eliminate the container and copy the files to another folder to restart it with a fresh folder and then copy the config file but it doesn't start. Any clue how to chmod the folder?

Thanks

I've been using the backuppc docker for a month or so and I'm trying to get email notifications working. I've configured msmptrc and can send test emails via the command line in the docker console but a script that I had successfully used in backuppc running in a vm doesn't send an email. I've attached a copy of the script.  BTW, I can execute the script via the console command line and an email is sent without any variables. Any ideas?

I can't get flarum to connect to my mysql database. I don't have this issue with any of my other dockers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Checking database connection...
Waiting 60s for database to be ready...
ERROR: Failed to connect to database on <my ip>

I didn't see a correct response to this, the answer is flarum doesn't use the newer default mysql password encryption. Assuming you have already created a user and a database, and given that user permissions to the database, I was able to fix this by going into my db and doing:

ALTER USER 'flarum_user'@'%' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'flarum_user_password';

I discovered this by quickly going into the console of the container before it shutdown after that 60s wait and attempting to connect to my database in terminal

mysql --host=$DB_HOST:$DB_PORT --user=$DB_USER --password=$DB_PASSWORD flarum_database_name

which displayed an error: Authentication plugin 'caching_sha2_password' cannot be loaded: dlopen(/usr/local/mysql/lib/plugin/caching_sha2_password.so, 2): image not found

Dashy Template is broken.  Please update it or remove from community apps.  Somebody made a post on July 27th about this so its been broken for at least 2.5 months

yeah agreed, this is a pain in its current form. Delete and start again ?

edit: I tried this again, and it worked. It is a strange container volume because is points to a file and not a dir.

So... download the sample conf.yml first, and then place it into the dir structure. Use the volume to point to the file. It works, though is very odd from a docker point of view.

Hey, thanks for adding the NUT docker for Switch. I have had success in getting it to work but there are a few aspects I'd like to adjust. I went looking for the appdata path to see if I could either adjust or replace the files with my NUT files and get rid of the auto pull from the github.

I'm pretty ignorant with this stuff but I couldn't find it, and the best I could tell from the logs I'm guessing it's writing to either a docker image or some protected area?

Do you know if there's any way I can do this? Or possibly a way I could tweak yours a bit to make this work?

Thanks

By creating the folders manually and assigning them to corresponing path in the config, I can get the main screen to load but trying to go further from there just gives an error, "this page can only be accessed from http://localhost:3000". I presume there is something with the config file I am not doing right. The github page contains completely wrong instructions and the ones showed in the continer overview dont work either it seems.
