It's better regarding the warnings and errors, but it still lands to a blank page, seconds after showing "loading..."

Something maybe worthy, source codes look a tad different, mine is on the left, theirs on the right :

It's base64 encoded though, can't change anything.

Having issues like others getting the matrix image working. I followed your quick guide about changing IP to 0.0.0.0 and such, but still wont work. Here's the log:

This server is configured to use 'matrix.org' as its trusted key server via the
'trusted_key_servers' config option. 'matrix.org' is a good choice for a key
server since it is long-lived, stable and trusted. However, some admins may
wish to use another server for this purpose.

To suppress this warning and continue using 'matrix.org', admins should set
'suppress_key_server_warning' to 'true' in homeserver.yaml.

I may have figured out what the issue is, I found this while combing through the github, under:

synapse / docs / ACME.md

it says as follows:

Quote

Deprecation of ACME v1

In March 2019, Let's Encrypt announced that they were deprecating version 1 of the ACME protocol, with the plan to disable the use of it for new accounts in November 2019, for new domains in June 2020, and for existing accounts and domains in June 2021.

Synapse doesn't currently support version 2 of the ACME protocol, which means that:

for existing installs, Synapse's built-in ACME support will continue to work until June 2021.

for new installs, this feature will not work at all.

Either way, it is recommended to move from Synapse's ACME support feature to an external automated tool such as certbot (or browse this list for an alternative ACME client).

I think this may be what the issue is for me, ACME is broken and killing the whole process. So I guess the only way forward is to sign it with certbot somehow...if I can figure it out I will write up some kind of tutorial. Maybe A75G can tweak the container to automatically do a certbot for ACME to function.

Please ping me and let me let me know if anything is wrong here so I can edit.

Edit- 9/20/20 - I fixed my issue, you can't edit the homeserver.yaml and have it existing before you create the container, something bugs in generation.

Yacy wasn't working, I wasn't able to load anything (the homepage and so on). I had to redirect the "https" port (TCP) in my Internet box to my UnRAID machine. I'm using Unraid 6.9.0-beta25. YacY is up to date. Here is the error message I had: it was unable to connect to other peers. So if you also have this problem, you now know what to try.

Hi @A75G,

thank you for your work, so far im using your murmur/mumble docker.

Still, i have some suggestions for this particular docker:

  1. Rename the docker with "murmur", since this is the real name of the server application for mumble.
  2. The Project Page is not mumble.com, but mumble.info.
  3. Latest and 1.3.2 branches doesn't pull 1.3.2 but 1.3.1.

Greetings :)

Hello @BIGFAT,

I changed the Project Page to .info tld.

For tags this is my standard so i cant do anytihng but the thing about docker is you can switch which version using the tags.

and lastly renaming it to murmur the repo i use called it mumble, it might confused people but i can switch it if you feel its for the best.

Exactly this seems not to work. No matter if i change from "phlak/mumble:latest" to "phlak/mumble:1.3.2" or vice versa, 1.3.1 is pulled down.

Maybe adding "murmur" in the description can resolve both issues? That way, people looking for both should be able to find the docker.

Hello,

perhaps it is a stupid question, but is it possible to have an authentication for the Web Interface (called CGI, right?) ?

I tried the steps from here ( https://hub.docker.com/r/tiredofit/backuppc/ ) by adding these Container Variables

NGINX_AUTHENTICATION_TYPE=BASIC
NGINX_AUTHENTICATION_BASIC_USER1=backuppc
NGINX_AUTHENTICATION_BASIC_PASS1=backuppc

which works perfectly fine until I stop and restart the docker container, then it fails with this log message repeating continuously (full log after restart attached)

[42m[INFO][49m ** [nginx] Starting nginx 1.19.2
nginx: [emerg] "auth_basic" directive is duplicate in /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf:4

Any suggestions?

-- Edit --

I figured out, at every restart the following 2 lines are added again to /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf

auth_basic "Please login";
auth_basic_user_file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication/basic_authorized_users;

Not sure where its coming from, havn't found the startup script yet.

-- Edit 2 --

Also in the file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication/basic_authorized_users an new entry for the user and the password is generated every startup id the Container Variables aboth are set. I did some further digging in the used nginx container but didn't find a solution.

-- WORKAROUND --

My workaround now is to manually add the users and the authentication method within the container after the first start by running lines 170 and 171 from https://github.com/tiredofit/docker-nginx/blob/ba1e3b4c81a5a29aa427ba37f6242c0e06d78053/install/etc/cont-init.d/10-nginx#L170-L171 manually

htpasswd -b -n backuppc backuppc >>/etc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication/basic_authorized_users
sed -i '/ server {/a\ \ \  auth_basic "'"Please login"'";\n\ \ \  auth_basic_user_file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication/basic_authorized_users;' /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf

This works fine for running and restarting the container. BUT reconfiguring the container removes (ofc) the changes. I tried mounting the whole etc/nginx/ folder to unraid, but this does not work. nginx within the container then won't create its config (don't know why).

To keep the user and authentication settings even after changing the container I did the following steps (prob not the best solution, but it works for me right now).

1) Copying the /conf.d and /authentication folders to my unraid share (paths may be changed or folders created manually)

docker cp --follow-link backuppc:/etc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication /mnt/user/appdata/backuppc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication
docker cp --follow-link backuppc:/etc/nginx/conf.d /mnt/user/appdata/backuppc/nginx/conf.d

2) reconfiguring the docker container and adding these two mounts

Host Path: /mnt/user/appdata/backuppc/nginx/conf.d/

Container Path: /etc/nginx/conf.d

Host Path: /mnt/user/appdata/backuppc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication/

Container Path: /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.d/authentication

--

If anyone has a better suggestion, I would love to hear it!

-- Edit 3 --

I also asked tiredofit (the docker container owner) for help, he mentioned, the container is not ment for restarting, its ment for cold starts.

tiredofit commented
Are you just doing a restart of the container or a full stop/kill and start again? I can see this happening if you are just simply restarting the container as it's meant for cold starts - theres too much configuration in place that gets rewritten when the container initializes that would cause this duplicate issue you are seeing..

Any suggestion how to accomplish this in Unraid?

I can not for the life of me get the Mattermost docker working with remote proxy. The documentation on Mattermost's site has an example of the config file for a subdomain but it is not working with SWAG (letsencrypt) and NGINX.

Does anyone have this up and running and could share their configuration file?

Any ideas?

Figured out the db user had to be root on mariadb.  No idea why since the user already had admin status.
