iamkrillin
So I'm about to upgrade my SAS HBA, and Ive got the following scenario My current HBA limits my hard dive size to 2TB but the drives that are installed and working are 3TB. If I upgrade my HBA to a new card that supports 3TB drives will everything just work when I boot the server back up? I'm thinking this is unlikely. I'm prepared to blow the entire array away and start over, but I would like to avoid that if possible Thanks Quote Link to comment

No, Unraid will detect the expanded disk size and won't mount the disks complaining that the partitions are invalid, if you can keep both controllers at the same time you could rebuild one disk at a time on the new controller (or 2 if you have dual parity). 1 Quote Link to comment
