pras1011
These 7 Hitachi drives were in my Thecus N7700PRO and there is a short and long test feature which has been cancelled by me on a few occasions as the long test was too long. Maybe this it what its indicating? Quote Link to comment

pras1011
That's nice and easy! Thanks again. I have another query. Windows was showing both of my shares as 12.7TB each but now its only showing them as 7.27TB each. When I map the shares on a different computer it still shows as 7.27TB. I have currently have a parity hdd at 2TB and 7 X 2tb hdds. Any idea about this one Joe? Quote Link to comment

To see the space available on unRAID log in on the command line and type df It is the "disk-free" command. If you have unMENU installed, you can see the free space on its main display, or you can go to the "System-Info" page and click on the "File System Space" button. Quote Link to comment
pras1011
Yes DF gives the correct amount. I am wondering why Windows was showing the correct amount and then suddenly showing the wrong amount. Quote Link to comment
ohlwiler
Did you include or exclude any disks for those user shares? Quote Link to comment
pras1011
No. I checked the Shares and Main tab. Quote Link to comment
ohlwiler
I am running 4.5.6 and that is how my system behaves. If you create a user share without explicitly including or excluding shares the unRAID exports the shares with the capacity of the entire array. If you limit the disks that the user share spans then the share is exported with that size. Example from my array with all 2T disks. Share name: Test Comments: Allocation method: Min. free space: Split level: Included disk(s): disk1,disk2,disk3 Excluded disk(s): Use cache disk: Export (SMB): Export read/write Export (NFS): When I map that share with windows explorer, it shows that I have 1.89 TB free of 5.45 TB. pras1011
I have left the exclude/include boxes blank so all the disks are used for the shares. Quote Link to comment
pras1011
I have changed from 5.0 beta 2 to 4.6 and now I getting the correct share sizes in Windows. I am going to stick with the 4.6 for now! Quote Link to comment
