Been away for a while, do I still need at least a drive for failover

I remember I had to reserve a drive, the bigger one in the array, for failover or whatever it's called. Do I still need to do that? Or can I set up an array more like a RAID0?

 

I don't care loosing the data, it's a risk I can take.
