Root password doesn't persist and no login form for web

Featured Replies

I just upgraded from 6.7 to 6.8.3.

I added a root password via the "passwd" command and it seems to work fine. But there is no login form on the web. My understanding is that 6.8 added this. I tried different browsers and private mode too.

Also, after I reboot, the root password gets unset and I am able to ssh with no password again.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Unraid runs from RAM so setting a password via the CLI is not persistent (as you found) when you reboot    Instead you should set it via the Users tab in the Unraid GUI and then it will be persistent.
