Unraid Sale questions

Featured Replies

Hi,

Going to be trying unraid this weekend but got a some questions about the licenses, USB stick and OS upgrade

1. If I start on Basic how quick would the upgrade to Plus be if needed?

2. On the license it says up to 6 (for basic) storage drives;

Does this include the Parity, Cache drives or the OS USB stick?

3. What are the recommended USB sticks to be using?

4. Do I need to upgrade the USB stick manually when there is an OS update or will it update itself?

#1 within a minute or 2 of purchase. You drop your key on the drive and boot up.

#2 this includes cache, parity, unassigned devices mounting at boot. USB drive for unraid doesn't count.

#3 USB 2.0 or 3.0, SanDisk has a good reputation. If you can plug it into a USB 2.0 port on your board. Historically has a better result, but 3.0 is fine.

#4 Updates are only manual. You have to initiate them.

You have to initiate them, but you do so in the webUI on the Tools page.
