March 14, 20206 yr I haven’t built a PC for over 15 years and would appreciate any input on this build. I have read a lot of forum posts and watched a ton of youtube videos and think I have a handle on most of what I need. If I’ve missed something or there is a better option I am completely open to changing the parts listed below. The case doesn’t need to look pretty because it’s going to live under my desk. It does, however, need it to be quiet and have room to grow my storage. My budget is somewhere around 3 thousand. Planned uses so far: Nextcloud Plex VM’s Unifi Controller Probably CCT security cams on a separate drive from the array. March 14, 20206 yr Your budget is a little different than mine . I would use a nvidia graphics card for transcoding in plex with the nvidia build. I don't think AMD is supported in docker. Assuming your going to use Docker for above apps.

I did some digging and think I found the issues you mentioned with Plex and AMD GPU transcoding and AMD GPU passthrough with Docker. Is there a graphics card you would recommend? I found the below that is similar in price and specs. EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 Super SC Ultra Gaming, 08G-P4-3067-KR, 8GB GDDR6
