March 17, 20206 yr I have not used my UnRaid server for over a year. The last time I used it, it was working just fine. I am in the process of getting my home theater set up back again and adding my UnRaid server back again. Once, I get my server up an running, is there anything I should do first prior to updating UnRaid?
March 17, 20206 yr Things I would do. Memtest for 24 hours, verify fans and temps No correct parity check file system check on all drives Anticipate zero errors, any errors would be cause for evaluation and troubleshooting.
May 7, 20206 yr Author Well, I have been busy, and I was able to turn on the server. I was able to access it via IP address, and it is now running a parity check. I will do a memtest and file system check thereafter.
May 7, 20206 yr What version of Unraid do you currently have installed? If it is older than 6.5 there may be some other things you need to take care of for the update.
