Identifying Parity drive

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've built a 2nd NAS Server with 2 x 2 Tb 3.5" disks there are 5/6 years ago.

USB key has desappeared.

I'm going to reinstall UNRAID on a new USB key.

My question is about parity drive : how can I be sure to assign the right drive as the parity one ?

Thanks

Assign all the drives as data drives and start the array.  If one and only one comes as as being unmountable, then that is your parity drive.  Do a Tools - New Config, then assign everything appropriately.

If more than one drive comes up as unmountable, then don't do anything and post your diagnostics here (Tools - Diagnostics)

If you have UD installed you can mount each disk read only and keep your parity 100% in sync.
