I am trying to get NFS working and want to make sure i have this set up correctly.  Im using the Wiki and have the setting *(rw) for everything Read Write like the example. 

 

Is there anything else I need to do?

 

This is to be used as storage with Vmware ESX Server.

I have mine set up that way and created an NFS datastore in ESXi and that is working for me.

Thanks.  Are you using the same versions?  I am using 4.5.6.

 

Anything specific ou did?

 

What do ou have share security set to?

Mine are set with this:

*(rw,insecure)

Is share security set to simple, user, or active directory?

I AM NOT ABLE TO MOUNT THE NFS SHARES.  IM GETTING THE ERROR THAT THE NFS SERVER REJECTED THE REQUEST. 

 

PLEASE SHARE MORE OF YOUR SETTINGS AND EXACTLY WHAT OU TYPE TO GET THE NFS SHARE MOUNTED.

I figured this out.  Thanks for all of the help.  I needed to use a full path including:

 

/mnt/user/esx
