wobblewoo
Hello. Can I ask if there is any benefit to using the onboard SATA ports vs a card? So say this Supermicro MBD-X11SSH-F-B LGA1151 socket H C236 Micro ATX Motherboardhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164054830558 It has 8 onboard SATA, enough for me. VS using an LSI HBA I have that would cover the same amount of drives. I'm planning on running a NAS, Plex docker and virtualizing a Win 10 machine and mostly VM a Mac graphics setup passing though a card etc. Hope that's enough to give an opinion. JorgeB
Perfectly fine to use the onboard ports, Intel SATA controllers are one best and most reliable controllers. 1 Quote Link to comment
