I want to replace the noisy 4 fans near the HDDs.

 

What fans should I get for quietness and for extremely hot Hitach 7K2000 HDDs?

Most people get for the 4220 the 3 120mm fan mod plate and then add fans from there.

 

Sorry no fan recommendations but the change in size fan helps.

What 120mm fans would you lot recommend?

True, I wanted quiet with great air flow.  They seem to do the trick.

I ended up going with these for the 120mm, and these for the back 80mm

I got Arctic cooling PST PWM fans for the rear and for the 3 120mm in the middle but I swapped the middle ones out for the originals.
