Yes, that is what the term "update" usually indicates. You can see if that line has been installed by typing crontab -l If not, you'll need to disable the re-install on reboot, and then re-enable it with the updated package.
March 9, 201115 yr Yes, that is what the term "update" usually indicates. Looks like there is no mystery then. I must have missed it in the changelog. I appreciate the education that update usually indicates untested changes will be pushed to main. When I read your original This file will NOT be replaced by the "official" one if you install it and then check for unmenu updates. It has an extra line at the top requesting it not be updated. If you want the "official" version you'll need to delete the added line or delete the entire .conf file. I took that to mean that this was not part of the main release and I did not see any indication in other places that this was now part of the main code base which is why I was trying to test here and figure out what was going on. Didn't mean to waste your time.
