March 30, 20206 yr Today, I decided to reboot. I usually do every 20 days or so. And since that reboot, I have been having exceeding long reboot times. It seems to get stop here. Any help would be appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20200330-1424.zip Edited March 30, 20206 yr by AinsWorth
March 31, 20206 yr Community Expert No clue. I can see about 2 minutes delay at that point in your syslog, mine completes in under a second. Here is a link explaining what that is: https://linux.die.net/man/8/haveged It is apparently using various things in hardware to set up random number generation. So I guess it is something to do with your hardware. Are you sure it hasn't always done this? Do you have any other symptoms?
March 31, 20206 yr Author It's always been about 3 minutes boot time. But 8 minutes is to much. No other symptoms that I have seen. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk

March 31, 20206 yr Author I tried that, followed it in a different tab. I also watched it until it got to login prompt. I don't reboot very often, but when I do I usually watch from IPMI.Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
