pfSense + Mellanox and Intel NICs together.. Anybody done it?

Featured Replies

Hi, not sure if this is a "General" problem or a "VM" problem.... please feel free to move as appropriate....

I have a nicely working pfSense VM with a 4 port NIC passed through. I'd like to get my 10G Mellanox NIC passed through as well.

It's in it's own IOMMU group fine....

It's stubbed through fine and shows up in the VM;

I've edited the xml just like I had to with the Intel 4 port NIC, putting it on the same bus and ramping up the function number.... but the only the Intel NICs show up in pfSense.........

Ironically, if I just let pfSense just do its own thing, it sees the Mellanox NICS on its own and ignores the Intel NICs.

In summary, even though both sets of NICs are passed through, I can see one set, or the other, not all at the same time......

My goal, is to see them all...... Any suggestions please?
