Decto Posted April 4, 2020 Share Posted April 4, 2020 These boards are not the bargain they seem. The 'one option' board is only dual channel not quad channel. Only 6 SATA and who knows what on the PCI-E. Dual CPU boards don't scale all that well. Far better to buy a single 2011v3 ~ $250 or dual for $300 from supermicro or similar. E5-2660 V3 , 2680 V3 , 2690 V3 are now $100-200 for 10 -12 cores and DDR4 EEC can be had for $50 per 16GB. A decent 2011 v3 single CPU with 10-12 cores should give you the performance of that board with dual 8 core well using half the power Quote Link to comment
