uR for VR/Gaming/VMs/Docker

looking for someone who can help me figure out what to do/ what to choose.

 

my old system is due for requirement. Some components like the GTX 970 sadly produce more and more errors and will only be used for folding or such in future. The other parts will be gifted to a friend.

1 Intel Core i7-4790K, 4x 4.00GHz, boxed (BX80646I74790K)

for new build I have the following list at hand:

I have quite strong bounding with beQuite devices because they never failed me. So note that here overpaying is within "reason".

 

As for usage:

2 VMs - Windows / Ubuntu with mostly the Windows being active

-- the Windows VM should receive the 2080 + m2 as passthrough for best performance (Gaming /VR)

Dockers - Plex, Coachpotate and Co, Nextcloud and some more special like Jira / Confluence server

Raid itself will remain with 4x Seagte Archive 10 TB + 2x 512 Corsair SSD Cache

 

System should be ready for future with possibility to expend both on Disks but also VMs/ Docker.

 

My concerns are mostly regarding current passthrough options / limitations and therefore maybe alternative Mainboards, CPU or GPU could be needed.
