Unraid downgraded itself to 6.6.7 from 6.8.3

Featured Replies

After restart Unraid suddenly downgraded itself to 6.6.7 from 6.8.3. What is this?

Moreover, due to almost dead amazon services from Europe I can't upgrade, 6.8.3 download sits on 0% forever.

A spontaneous downgrade is not possible.

If you're unable to upgrade via the gui then download the applicable zip file from the limetech website and overwrite the bz* files on the flash with those in the zip and reboot

Not sure about that now. Seeing it with my own eyes. I did CPU pining change through UI, shut down the array, removed one unassigned drive, then booted back and saw basic authorization instead of login page, logged in and saw security vulnerability notification and weird UI, then noticed it's 6.6.7. Rebooted couple times and it didn't help. Have no idea how it could happen, can it be somehow related to the trial period?

Flash drive is not shared, accidental changes couldn't happen.

Downloaded zip with 6.8.3, replaced *bz files on flash, rebooted, works fine so far.

You might want to think very carefully about what happened because if you can eliminate all possibilities of user error then there is only one possibility left - you were hacked.

I got what happened. Unraid Nvidia plugin is working by replacing Uraid build itself. In the dropdown it allows you to select older builds and 6.6.7 is at the top. So I assume, I installed by mistake some time ago and didn't restart for a while. Then, after restart it became obvious. Noticed that by tinkering with Unraid Nvidia. again.
