fishface Posted April 7, 2020 Share Posted April 7, 2020 I'm currently defragging a single 2TB disk, it appears to be single threaded, can I start another defrag up and run several in parallel? I'm not planning on using the server for a few days, so seems like a good time to do it. Quote Link to comment
testdasi Posted April 7, 2020 Share Posted April 7, 2020 You can run multiple defrags at the same time as long as you don't have parity (with the caveat that you won't know which thread will be used for each defrag instance). With parity, running multiple simultaneous defrag will slow it down exponentially. Quote Link to comment

Monthly parity check recently completed without errors.
