bridged networks / debian 10 VM

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Fair warning; ended up trashing two VMs as I couldn't figure out what in the networking stack busted.   Upgraded (from Debian 9) 4 VMs to Debian 10 today.

2 VM not on a bridge network; upgraded no problem

2 VMs on bridged networks no longer had functioning networking after upgrade

I could ping the guest itself and the host's gateway (bridge) but other than that nothing would route beyond the gateway.

This is a question probably better suited for the debian team than us.  Maybe there was something quirky about Debian 10 and VM usage.  If you build a new Debian 10 VM from scratch, does it exhibit the same behavior or does the bridge work fine?  Might be something wrong with their upgrade utility.
