April 12, 20206 yr Community Expert I just realized that there is now a "tick" that allows to enable passthru of unassigned devices to VM/Docker. I searched, but didn't find what exactly this now allows. A few questions: 1) Does this allow without any fiddling to install a Windows VM directly barebone on an UD? If so, any how-to? 2) Can I still access a passthru device? If not, can I disable the passthru (when the VM is not running) and can then access it? Or even boot into it instead of Unraid? Can I then enable it again and just have the VM back? 3) First two questions are about installing a VM on an UD. Alternatively, would it be possible to use an passthru UD as secondary disk for a VM (not install the OS, but only as datadisk). 4) I remember that there may have been issues with the Intel NVME 760p. What exactly does not work? Passthru in general or just some specific applications?
