Install 'bc' command on Unraid

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

For a shell-script I need the command "bc", which does basic arithmetics. (division in my case)

In Ubuntu it would be a "apt install bc" but I don't know how to add/install a command in Unraid.

Install the "nerd pack" plugin using Community Applications.

Then in Settings there should be a new Nerd Pack setting which allows you to select additional commands, and bc is in the list.

Install Community Applications, once installed use Community Applications to install Nerd-Pack Plugin, then go to Nerd-Pack settings to select BC to install.

Wonderful! Thank you very much to both of you.

I am new to unraid and its community, but had the best community-experience whatsoever. 🙂

Hopefully I can give something back at later times.

Is there a new solution for this with Nerd Pack not being supported in 7.0? (according to community apps)

Thanks in advance!

Search Slackware and download what you want into /boot/extra/ and then reboot your server so it installs the package for you
