Hi,

 

I'm currently trying to get my Windows 10 VM up and running with both sound of the graphics card and the sound of the intel chip. Currently I'm getting the known error below:

internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2020-04-18T07:12:09.273490Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=0000:00:1f.3,id=hostdev2,bus=pci.0,addr=0x8: vfio 0000:00:1f.3: group 7 is not viable Please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver.

My current IOMMU group which is causing this is below

I've followed the Space Invader tutorial by trying to split them up using PCIe ACS override and by setting the id of the intel audio in the Syslinux configuration. Both did not seem to split up my IOMMU group. 

 

Does anyone know how I cold resolve this?

Try turning multifunction on as well (in the same VM Settings page).

If they are still not split after that then they can't be split.

I've tried setting it to both which is downstream and multifunction I think. Did not work... Guess I cannot split them up
