[SOLVED] No Internet/No IP

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm trying to setup my first Unraid server and I can't even get connected. I've loaded Unraid to my one USB that I own (though it's a 256GB USB). I was able to boot and get to the login, however, the server is not connecting to the internet and my router. Not sure why it's not able to pull an IP address since the lights on the NIC are on. I am able to boot into windows and verify that the NIC on my Aorus Master X570 is working and connects to the internet and router, however, it doesn't seem to work for Unraid. What am I doing wrong??? At the Unraid login screen, it's showing me an IP address of 169.254.62.61, which is completely difference from my IP address structure.

If you log into the console (username root) and issue the 'df' command does it show that you have something mounted at /boot?

Do you have another flash drive you can try? Boot from a USB2 port if possible.

The USB is currently in a USB 2.0 port. I wish I had another USB. Looks like I'm going to have to go to the store and get one.

You may find this link describing the boot process to be of interest.     If there is no /boot showing In the ‘df’ command then stage 4 has not completed successfully.

I got another USB from my neighbor and it's working now. The issue was the USB!
