SMART 187 Error (SOLVED)

Featured Replies

UnRAID is reporting an error on the DASHBOARD tab, in the Array section, after I added a Western Digital Blue WDC WD10EZEX-60ZF5A0 1TB.

When I click on Disk 4 the following is the last SMART test result. (note the 2 messages: "Completed without error" and 187 Reported Uncorrect"

I ran a SMART extended test. The test results are attached. In the test results, "SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSED"

Why does the array page say "👎error" but the smart extended test says "PASSED"?

Could the error have been one time, when the HDD was added or precleared? But then why does the "👎 error" persist?

When reading about SMART 187 errors, I see a lot of message board chatter, but no technical info.

Any suggestions for clearing the error? Or rechecking?

The error will persist until you click on the orange icon on the dashboard to acknowledge the error.    You will then only be alerted again if that SNART attribute changes.
