April 21, 20206 yr So I started off the install and it went fine until it went to look for a drive to install to. I had set it up with the "stable virtio-win iso" from this page: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/creating-windows-virtual-machines-using-virtio-drivers/ The installer fails to see a drive and when I try and load drivers, etc... No drivers available. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
April 22, 20206 yr Are you pointing your search path for drivers at the root of the CD drive, or did you select a folder from within the CD drive for drivers? Windows 10 for example wont look at subfolders in the drive selection screen. You need to manually select the driver in order to install this. Windows Server 2019 works on the same kernel as Windows 10 so I expect this to be a problem across all versions of Windows. Thanks Edited April 22, 20206 yr by Andrew Clarke
April 22, 20206 yr I imagine its a Windows PE environment issue because its a limited version of Explorer.
April 23, 20206 yr Author It ended up being I was using a downloaded virtio driver and when I had Unraid download it, worked just fine. Thanks all!
