mf808
Hi all, first time unraid user here and have been working with my new unraid server. 2x 1TB nvme in btrfs raid 1 running as cache. My goal was to saturate the 10G Nic link on the server. Core I5-9400 64gb ram NIC Intel x520 dual SFP+ only one is used. I removed the bonds, as only 1 NIC is active on the machine. I am having issues with writing to the unraid server. It gives me about ~350MB-450Mb/s Reading from the Server is at 10Gbit speed, which is what I was looking for. Does anyone have any hints what I need to tweak or configure to see the write speeds go up? I have seen in a previous post that near 1GB/s are possible. Thanks for you help! PS: with MTU 9000 enabled, no difference Edited April 22, 2020 by mf808 Quote Link to comment
mf808
Found the issue: I had set the "CPU Scaling Governor" in the tweak plugin to "Power Save". Set it to Performance and I have the speed I was expecting. Followup question: Does the CPU Scaling Governor affect only the CPU power states or does it also affect other PCI devices, eg. the NIC and NVME? Quote Link to comment
