Why on earth do i have to stop my array to change sone text?

    Probably because changing some of the information on this page will break the links between the server and the clients connected to it-- Specifically, the 'Server name'.  Requiring you to stop the Array will  (at least) make you aware that what you are about to do will have consequences!

    Probably doesn't need the array to be stopped, but there would be many services that need to be stopped and restarted (to push/apply changes) that it's easier to use the existing command stack that is part of array restart procedure.
