Mover not working

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have setup unraid with a cache drive but the mover doesn't seem to be worrking.

I have no idea how to do trouble shooting for this is there anyone that could point me in the right direction.

If I start the mover from the Gui all I see in the log file is Apr 23 10:01:32 BSS-NAS emhttpd: shcmd (278): /usr/local/sbin/mover &> /dev/null &

After this nothing seems to happen and I don't see anything in the log file either.

Best regards,

jos

Enable mover logging (settings -> scheduler) then run the mover and post the diagnostics: Tools -> Diagnostics, also mention the share name your trying to move.

Hi,

See attached the diagnostics.

I'm not trying to move a specific share I just see that harddrive space of the cache drive is getting filled up.

As I understand it it should be empty after mover has kicked in right ?

I see that there is a docker image on the cache drive might this be the problem ?

Best regards,

Jos

Yes, but only shares set to cache="yes" will be moved.

Only if you have no shares set to Use Cache= Prefer (or Only).   As you have some set to Prefer then there will always be some space left used by these shares.  The ones set to Prefer are ones you would normally WANT to be on the cache to maximise performance of docker container and VMs.
