Deleted domains share

I deleted my domains share a few years ago because I wasn't using VM.  I am now interested in exploring a VM.  Can i just create a share called domains?  Or, do I need to do something else?  What settings should I use?  For example, should domains be on the cache drive?

    Been a while since I did this so I'm not sure what happens from scratch. It may be that enabling VMs creates the domains share. No harm in creating it yourself though. It should be cache-prefer.
