NOTHING ELSE IS INCLUDED, NO RAILS, NO SOFTWARE!!! The server is in good working and cosmetic condition. NO RAILS nor other mounting hardware, NO SOFTWARE, NO OPERATING SYSTEM. The server was purchased from a bankruptcy auction, tested and is in good condition. Guaranteed to arrive in good condition, "DOA" warranty with inspection time of 5 days after item arrives.
December 30, 201015 yr RAID controller will depend on the chip-set, the on-board SATA and Ethernet will probably work (after searching the forum for the chip-sets....) It will almost certainly be extremely noisy and use lots of electricity. Check smart on all of the hard drives and if they have long uptime consider ebaying them and replacing with new 2TB drives, (unless your data isn't important or is stored elsewhere).

I'm currently renting, and electricity is included in the rent, so it's not a concern (yet) :evil smile: Is there any way to determine the RAID controllers chipset prior to purchasing? I didn't see the Broadcom BS4000 controller listed on the HWCL.
December 30, 201015 yr You could get the guy to take better pictures of them... I can see there are two PCI-X cards but the photo is way too small to see what they are. Maybe some recognises them from that picture
