April 25, 20206 yr I Just Want a litle input for my next Dual Xeon Build I am Curently Running a Super micro X8DTH-6F with a pair of Xeon X5675's Being Cooled By a Pair Of Hyper 212Evo's With 64Gb ecc Ram As Well as 10Gb Nic I Think 5-6 140mm Fractal Fans + The 2 120mm Fans On The Evo's All Temps Are Good ! I Also Have a older Nvidia Quadro of some sort in it With 8 3Tb hdds + 3 ssd's a 1Tb cashe & 1 For Plex an 1 For vms All Powerd By an Evga 850 Gq 80+Gold PowerSuply In a Fractal Define XLR2 Case Booting from A PNY Elite-X Fit 64GB 200MB/sec USB 3.0( I Did A Lot of research to try and find the very best flash drive i could and this was it ! ) I Am Very New To Unraid But I Was On FreeNas for ever & PfSense But I Wanted Gpu Pass Through An So Far I Realy Love It Other Than The Speed & This Is A Big One For Me! Now Back To The Hard Ware.. Now The Reason I Want To Upgrade! I Have Found A Pretty Good Deal On a 4U 24 Bay Supermicro Case That Has A supermicro MB and Dual Psu and pair of V1 Quad Core cpu's (That I Can UpGrade To Beter Ones) How Ever I Still Love My 1366 Sm bord and The Dual 6Core Xeons How Ever I Really Dont Have an Upgrade Path With It & I Know This Is All Over Kill But I Am a Prety Hard Core Enthusiast And I Love Messing With This Stuff & It Keeps My Mind Off The World to I Supose But I Was Wanting another Enthusiasts Point of View /Thoughts/Advice & What 2011 V2 Cpu Is The Best Bang For My Buck How Ever I Would Like to Go With at Least 8 core Chips But 10 or Even 12s Is Fine To..
