I am going crazy here trying to figure out how to manage my movies after they have been downloaded through SABnzbd. I would love to hear how other people are managing their download after completion. My NZB Indexer does not provide a API Key. I am using a cache drive which SABnzbd creates a folder called "downloads" on and throws everything I download into. the downloads folder (is set to "cache - yes") gets moved to the array every night at 3 am and gets recreated when I push another NZB to SABnzbd.

 

My Question/Problem is

 

I want to use the cache drive for SABnzbd to download the movies and unrar/unzip it on the cache drive since its faster if it needs to repair them . I then am not sure how to get it to Movies directory on the array so Plex can find it and add it to its Library. Should I be using a program that handles movies like Radarr even though I have no API key and don't want to switch my Indexer? I am completely lost.

 

Also I want to do the same thing for non movie files such a software I download through SABnzbd. I don't know how to get it to the Software share on my Array after it has been downloaded. Should I be using categories or switches in SABnzbd to accomplish this?

 

I know this is probably really obvious to most of you but way over my head. So I thank you for taking the time to read this. If anyone can shed some light on how they manage their media from cache to array I would truly appreciate it.

using categories makes it more organized, personaly i would use radarr to control my movies library, after setup its "fire and forget".

but with categories in SABnzbd only you can do this job, but i'm not sure if i can help you with that (i pretty lazy, i use radarr/sonarr/lidarr/etc, to do this work )
