Ernie11
Hello Everyone, Im thinking of using a VM as a daily driver but I have a question. Is it best to view the VM through a VNC or to pass-though not only a GPU but also a keyboard, mouse, usb for peripherals, ect and just connect a display straight to the gpu on the server? The reason I ask this is because im using splashtop as my VNC but I notice that its not very smooth when there's a lot moving on the screen (videos, games, ect). Also I haven't found a VNC that supports multi monitor for free. I would like to know what you guys do or recommend. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Carbongrip
You would want a GPU passed through. You could do Moonlight / Steam Stream for the remote part if you wanted or pass through a whole usb controller for your usb devices. Quote Link to comment
Ernie11
Hello Carbongrip, But what if I want to use it for normal things like look things up or use excel, word, etc. Moonlight doesnt work for that. Quote Link to comment

Moonlight can be used for the general desktop as well. Quote Link to comment
