Ive created a shopping list for a unraid server i plan to build to run Plex, OpenHab and operate as a NAS

 

I plan to start with 1 Parity drive and 1 Storage drive and would slowly expand to 2 parity and up to 10 storage

would only be transcoding 2 streams at a time

 

if someone more knolegable than myself wouldnt mind looking it over to see if i would have any issues

You have important incompatibility warnings on the list.

That's because pc part picker does not recognize that ecc memory is compatible with the MB

I am still putting my BOM together but from what i've looked at 8TB drives seems to be the sweet post on price vs capacity ratio.

I've looked at your link, and it seems that the configuration I am working on based on Xeon E-22xx is a bit cheaper. Take since with a grain of salt since I live in europe thus the prices might not be complexly comparable.
