Unable to create Cache only share

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I am attempting to create a cache only share. Nothing seems to happen.

When I look at the logs, I can see the error below;

May 1 21:36:13 UnRaid emhttpd: shcmd (279): mkdir '/mnt/user/VM'
May 1 21:36:13 UnRaid root: mkdir: cannot create directory '/mnt/user/VM': No medium found
May 1 21:36:13 UnRaid emhttpd: shcmd (279): exit status: 1
May 1 21:36:13 UnRaid emhttpd: shcmd (280): rm '/boot/config/shares/VM.cfg'

The cache drive still appears to be working fine.

I am running VM's and it they are working as intended.

I also seem to have issues creating another VM into a different cache only shared folder.

Has anyone else run into this? What have you done to resolve the issue?

Looks like you're running a scrub or something on the cache pool.  What happens when it's finished.

There was no scrub running, but to play devils advocate, I ran one and tried again. Same issue

An update, I attempted to add a different cache drive in just in case, the same issue.
Any other ideas?

Please reboot in safe mode, try again and post new diags if it still fails.
