Fantec Backplane src-3168x07 and HDD non-recognized even in BIOS

Featured Replies

Hello, I have bought a fantec src-3168x07, im using a MSI Z170a M5 motherboard, and its unable to see the disk under Unraid, even in Bios. When everything was installed in a simple PC, it worked great. Whats new in the back plane, i just used a SAS (8087) to SATA Cable  and plugged from the backplane to the motherboard. No way unable to see a HDD... I tried to use Raid Mode instead of AHCI in the Bios and no changes. Any ideas ? See attached picture

Thanks for your help

You probably bought forward breakout cabling.  You need reverse breakout.  They look the same, but are wired differently
