Very Strange Network Error

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a very strange network error that I hope somebody can help with please?

My Network is as follows

unraid1 - 192.168.0.33

unraid2 - 192.168.0.44

Sophos runs on unraid2 with 2 lans

192.168.0.* (all my local wired traffic)

192.168.1.* (all my wifi traffic)

when I use a laptop/phone (any wifi device) I can ping and connect to all devices on 192.168.0.* EXCEPT unraid1,  I can communicate to unraid2 no problem.  I have tested the router is passing traffic (it is) so why can I not ping/communicate with unraid1?

I can also NOT ping devices on 192.168.1.* from unraid1

root@UNRAIDSERVER:~# tcpdump -i br0 icmp

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

You haven't clearly say the netmask setting ( operate as two separate subnet or not ), Unraid1 set in DHCP or Static ? If config two separate network, then does Sophos correctly bridge two subnet ? .....

Hi,

Sophos is correct, as both unraid servers are on the same subnet and many other devices (cameras, pc's laptops etc) and can all be accessed by wifi devices on the second network, it is ONLY unraid1 that cannot be accessed from the second (wifi) network

Here are the two unraid server network configs

This is unraid1, I have tried static and dhcp

this is unraid2

Many thanks for looking 🙂
